Cookie Policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page explains the cookies cachewatch.co.uk uses. The short version: we only use one cookie, it is needed to make the site work, and we do not use any advertising or analytics cookies.
1. The cookie we use
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
wpcw_session | Keeps you signed in to your account and protects forms (such as login and checkout) from cross-site request forgery. It cannot be used to track you on other websites. | Until you close your browser, or log out |
This cookie is strictly necessary, so under UK law we do not need to ask for your consent to use it. It is set when you visit the site, holds only a random session ID, and is sent only to cachewatch.co.uk over a secure connection.
2. Cookies set by others
When you go to checkout or manage your billing, you leave our site for pages hosted by Stripe (checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies there to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are controlled by Stripe; see Stripe's cookie policy.
We do not embed videos, social media buttons, adverts or analytics tools, so no other third-party cookies are set on cachewatch.co.uk.
3. The WordPress plugins
The Cache Watch plugins do not set cookies for visitors to your website. Inside WordPress admin, they rely on the cookies WordPress itself uses for logged-in users.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in or buy a subscription, but you can still read the site and download the free plugin.
5. Changes and contact
If we start using any other cookies, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. Questions? Email hello@fcbdigital.co.uk.
